About Founder, director, chairman of the board, project coordinator, facilitator and trainer of World Active Youth Of Holland (WAYOH). Studying Teaching Assistant, Social Work, Pedagogic Work and Cultural Work and getting certificates like Hygiene Code, CFB (Agression prevention in healthcare), Sport- game- and recreationleader, Company first aid assistance and in korfbal (a dutch national sport) a certificate Korfbaltrainer and a certificate Federal Referee. While his main expertise is youthwork, he also is a Korfbalplayer, a certified korfball trainer- and coach and a certified korfbalreferee, he was part of a theatre group and still does acting, He worked as a facilitator for weddings and for businessevents up to 5000 people. He also possesses international knowledge of social and cultural issues. He has been a participant, groupleader, expert and assistant facilitator in another organisations for 3 years in over 10 projects, before founding the WAYOH foundation
Function General board member, contact person and participant recruitment
About He is a Dj and musicproducer for arround 25 years and a former basketballplayer. He has been a participant and groupleader in Erasmus+ for 4 years. He also was a volunteer in youthwork for 5 years, where he founded and organised music events. He contributes in selecting partnerships and selecting participants. They both are enthusiastic about learning new things and have the ability to empower others. Because they already successfully worked together in the field of youthwork and Erasmus+ projects, this is the key to a successful foundation. Together they will function as groupleaders during Erasmus+ projects, to secure the quality of our participation and to ensure quality leadership and guidance for the participating youngsters.
Function Contactperson Supervisory Board (RvT)
About Nienke, 28 years old, living in Amsterdam and a member of the WAYOH foundation since January 2024. She is the contactperson for the complaints procedure, complaints committee and confidential counselor. to guide, inform and take care of the volunteers, to inform the organization and to advise the board. She studied Public Science. International Relations. At the University in Lisbon, through the Erasmus program, she then studied .Administration and Organization. Both living and studying abroad ultimately resulted in various activities within the central government, including six months at the UN department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a former member of an association with 1,800 members (founded in 1889), she sat on the board for a year and is currently still involved in the advisory board. Through WAYOH, she was introduced to the Erasmus+ Youth program, participated in her first project and now she will bring her knowledge and experiences to support the foundation.
Function General board member
About Thaïs has a broad interest in sports, including: yoga, lifting weights, swimming, skating, walking and several types of martial arts. She also likes to play video games and to explore the possibilities of technology to activate people who otherwise do not have the chance to enjoy outdoor sports because of health issues. Thaïs works as a personal healthcare assistant in a nursing home for people who became visually impared at a late stage in life.
Function Creative support
About She is 75 years old and overseeing a local collaberation between the elderly and youthwork. With that collaberation, they deliver hand made souvenirs to hand out to the youth during local and international projects and activities.
Function Graphic designer
About He is the graphic designer for WAYOH and has a history of involvement in youthwork of activities in the local youthcentre, organised by Marten and Jeroen. He has been locally active by contributing to one of our goals, wich is to influence local infrastucture. He is responsible for the implementation of several calisthenic parcs in Barneveld by the local municipality as a part of his passion to motivate the youth to become more active outside. Simon joined Jeroen and Marten in 2018 and participated with them in an Erasmus+ project in Italy. Being involved with WAYOH from the very beginning, Simon created the WAYOH logo and the banner we use today!
